Dr, Richardson is a compassionate physician who has been practicing emergency medicine since 2009. He was drawn to medicine as a career based in large part on his early exposure to his parents’ serious health conditions. Richardson received his B.A. in German language from the University of Michigan. He received his M.D. and M.B.A. from the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and Vanderbilt University Owen Graduate School of Management, respectively.

He completed his residency in emergency medicine at the University of Chicago Medical Center. After his residency, Dr. Richardson completed a fellowship in primary care sports medicine at Duke University. He is board-certified in each specialty and is both a fellow in the American College of Emergency Physicians and a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.

Dr. Richardson believes in a holistic approach to patient care. He is a strong advocate for an active lifestyle and a plant-based, whole food diet. Richardson was a member of the U.S. national wrestling team and was an Olympic alternate for the 2000 Games prior to graduate school. He is an avid CrossFit athlete and enjoys cycling, cooking and travel. He is part of the fabric of the neighborhood and resides in Hyde Park with his family.
